Màgala was founded in 2024 by brazilian designer Mariana Magalhães;
Born and raised in Rio’s countryside, Mariana could live and understand what it feels like to be embraced by Nature everyday and to respect its rhythms.
Spending many afternoons sneaking into her grandmother's photographs from the 70s, admiring her timeless outfits and elegance, the sun-soaked images, the glamour and the faded colors, Mariana envisioned her idea of beauty. An imprint that would since then live within her.
After moving to Milan to study Fashion Design in 2022, immersed in a world of creativity and innovation, she honed her skills and expanded her vision. But it was spending most of the time in Costa Smeralda, surrounded by the azure waters and sun-kissed landscapes of the island, that she found herself fascinated by the effortless elegance of the Mediterranean.
As the days melted into nights filled with laughter and inspiration, her vision for a brand that encapsulated the essence of sun-soaked days and endless summers began to take shape.
With each design, Màgala evokes the carefree spirit and timeless beauty of the idyllic days on the island as well as Mariana’s memories from her life Rio, designing collections that will give life to a dream, an oasis of hedonism, freedom and joy.
Each one of our garments is ethically made in Italy, in small quantities, using premium natural fibers and impeccable Italian craftsmanship. Not following trends but choosing to be adorned by ever-lasting fabrics and garments.
